Living easy in Noblesville, Indiana

Welcome to Noblesville, Indiana, is a charming city and a spacious suburb. Located in Hamilton County, Indiana.  It is a suburb of north Indianapolis which thrived in the past because it is along the White River but its popularity today is because it has a small-town living vibe but all the creature comforts of a big city. 

Let’s start with the history of how the city got its name. William Connor and Josiah Polk bought the land the city is on and William Conner (whom Conner Prairie is named for) allowed Josiah to name the city.  In a gesture to impress, he named it to honor his fiance, Lavina Noble, who happens to be my 4th great grandmother!  Her family later changed their mind about her marrying him.  She had a brother James Noble, our first Indiana Senator and another brother Noah Noble, Indiana’s 5th Governor so there is some speculation about which Noble the city was named for.  I like to think it was for Lavinia. It has been said Josiah planted a garden in the shape of the letters of her name.  That is a guy who makes grand gestures!

Noblesville gained recognition in the past for its flour mills, with the Noblesville Milling Company standing out as the most famous. The nickname "Millers" endures as a symbol of the town's history and connection to its milling heritage and the schools’ athletes are named “Millers”.

 Ruoff Music Center:

Located off of 146th St, it is previously named Klipsch Music Center and Deer Creek Music Center, which stands as the primary outdoor music venue in the Indianapolis metro area. It consistently ranks among the top outdoor music venues globally for ticket sales, according to Pollstar.

Forest Park:

• Forest Park is a hub of family activities, featuring playgrounds, sports fields, and picnic areas located on Cicero Road. Take a leisurely stroll around the lake, enjoy the playgrounds, or have a family picnic in this expansive and scenic park or take a train ride on the Nickel Plate Express!

Potter's Bridge Park:

• Potter's Bridge Park is known for its historic covered bridge. Located on Allisonville Road, the park provides a playground and  the trails connect to Forest Park and then on to downtown or Morse Park & Beach.

Koteewi Park:

• Koteewi Park is a fantastic destination for families with attractions like the Koteewi Aerial Adventure Treetop Trails, Koteewi Snow Tubing Runs, Noblesville Youth Sports Complex:
• If your family enjoys sports, the Noblesville Youth Sports Complex is the place to be. With baseball and soccer fields, it's a great location for cheering on your young athletes or enjoying a friendly family game.

Monon Trail:
